The recent floods in Texas and the Tsunami warning from the earthquake in Russia, among other disasters, are a reminder that even some preparedness is better than none.
One of the things everyone can do is download the free Red Cross Emergency App available on the Apple App Store, Amazon App Store, and Google Play Store in English and Spanish. Granted, you need cell service to receive the alerts, but it lets you customize up to 40 different weather alert notifications. It's also accessible so people with disabilities can use it, and it's compatible with Apple Watch and Android Wearables.
It has the option for you to enter up to 8 zip codes you want to monitor (like loved ones in other areas) and a "monitor live location" option for traveling (unknown if it works overseas). There's also a lot of hazard and preparedness information to peruse.

Moderate rain, with a high of 51 and low of 40 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Patchy rain nearby during the morning, sunny in the afternoon, overcast in the evening, patchy rain nearby overnight.
The cost and disruption to our community for this project is unnecessary to say the least. Not enough community voice on the necessity of the round about was given and the community meeting wasn’t open to anyone opposing the project.
