This FREE annual concert, conducted by Dr. John Falskow, is a vibrant celebration of community that fills the stage with energy, color, and festive music. Featuring a diverse array of American composers, the program represents the many powerful voices that enrich our nation. The performance showcases Frank Ticheli’s An American Elegy, a remarkably optimistic and strong tribute to human resilience, and features host Dave Beck guiding us through Aaron Copland’s moving Lincoln Portrait. We recognize the service of our active military and veterans with Salute to the Armed Forces and perform local composer Megan Vinther’s Under Pines and Stars. The Star-Spangled Chorus returns to the stage under the direction of Dr. Linda Gingrich, joining the band for a rousing rendition of Stars and Stripes Forever that’s sure to send you home with a spring in your step.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of wind band music or a first-time listener, this festive program promises to uplift, delight, and bring our community together through the power of music. Don’t miss this joyous occasion—let’s celebrate in harmony!
