Iko Knyphausen

Longtime (1999) Lake Forest Park resident. Raised my 2 children here. Phillip and Anna. They went to Brookside, Kellogg and Shorecrest. I am originally from Stuttgart Germany. My wife Radka is from Brno, Czech Republic. The US was the language neutral place we settled for to raise our family. We have been together for 30 years. My background is in the software industry. I ran my own business, and when Microsoft invested in our firm, I chose to move to the PNW to be closer to our shareholder. Now retired, my personal interests are wildlife photography, Search and Rescue, and Public Safety in general. I also volunteer with the LFP PD and with EMGWA, an emergency management group that provides event services for Seafair, Special Olympics, WorldCup, to name a few. My newest engagement is to write opinion articles for the LFP Town Crier. It's a fun format. It requires research to learn a good deal about a given subject, without getting out of control, as in writing a dissertation.
