New York based company acquires LFP Town Center

Merlone Geier Partners recently sold the LFP Town Center for a reported $28 million. The last recorded sale before that was in 2022, when Merlone Geier sold to itself for 53 million, and the sale before that was in 2014 for $37 million.

The new owner, DLC Management out of Elmsford, NY, also owns Alderwood Plaza and seven other properties in California. Usually, when an investor acquires a property, they look to improve their return on investment, so it's likely DLC Management will be back in contact with the City of LFP to discuss redevelopment plans.

According to chainstorage.com, “We are all-in on playing offense,” said DLC founder and CEO Adam Ifshin. “We know from every cycle we’ve weathered in the 32 years since I started DLC that the best time to buy is at the bottom, when the market is coming through a period of significant disruption.”

LFP Town Crier has reached out to DLC Management CEO Adam Ifshin for comment on whether they plan to redevelop the Town Center and will update this article if we receive a response.

If the Center's tax assessed valuation is decreased to reflect the 50Percent reduction in market value our city will receive less tax revenue.  And reduced sales tax revenue as long as the RiteAid space remains dark.
