Police and EMS were dispatched to an LFP home around 1 PM on Christmas Day for a shooting incident at the 4000 block of NE 197th St. Heard over police radio was that a male was being transported to Harborview with "two GSW's" (gunshot wounds). Also heard over police radio was a routine security check of the homeowner, who LFP Town Crier isn't naming since it is unclear as to why the check was initiated. These checks are similar to the type used for traffic stops where PD is checking to see if you have outstanding warrants, etc.
Photo by authorLieutenant R. Adams with LFP PD stated, "I can confirm that officers responded to a suspicious incident at a residence in the 4000 blk of NE 197th St on Christmas day. Upon arrival, officers encountered a male subject with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was transported by Shoreline FD medics to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He later succumbed to his injuries. This incident is still under active investigation, and our investigators are confident there is no ongoing danger to the community from this incident.
