Community Classes
REGISTER FOR CERT TRAINING
The 7 week format starts Thursday nights from March 28 - May 9,
6 to 9pm. The final simulation is Saturday, May 18, 2024.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a FEMA developed program that educates community members on disaster preparedness and hazards in our region. CERT trains you in basic response skills to hazards. Training includes utility and fire safety, search and rescue, First Aid and overall Preparedness.
This is a seven week class with instruction Thursday nights and the Final Simulation afterward. Classroom sessions and final simulation will be at the Shorline Fire Department Station 51 in Kenmore - 7220 NE 181st Street Kenmore, WA 98028. This class is free and attendance at all classes is required to receive your certificate.
This class is open to adults and Teens. If multiple individuals from the same household are attending, please register each person individually to reserve a seat in the class.

The fire chiefs' taxes paid explanation is correct. He does leave out the Medic One (EMS) levy. What is in error is his claim that the RFA will reduce next year's taxes. The RFA does nothing to reduce taxes.
Is there really such a disparity between the present financial conditions of Shoreline Fire and Northshore Fire? If so, vote No.
I stand by every statement I made in the NO RFA letter I provided to the Town Crier. First, I was in the room when the Northshore contract discussions were held. There was never any discussion of the contract being a first step towards an RFA.
