Student On Bike Collides With School Bus

At approximately 4PM on June 15th, fire and police were dispatched to LFP Elementary for an accident involving a school bus and a student on a bike. The school bus was turning into the lower playground pickup area from Ballinger Way when the student, riding on the sidewalk, couldn't stop in time and collided with the front tire of the bus. 

The bike was heavily damaged but luckily, the student escaped with a scraped knee. The school district transportation department and LFP PD are investigating. We've reached out to Northshore Fire and will update this report once we receive more details.
