You Make Third Place Commons Possible

Third Place Commons is marking its 25th anniversary by thanking the community whose support has helped sustain it as a welcoming, public gathering place rather than just a commercial space. In 2025, the organization experienced growth and renewal through new leadership, an expanded board, stronger partnerships, and new programs, while also celebrating 20 years of the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market.

Community support has translated into thousands of everyday experiences, from live music and dance to free kids’ programs, community performances, and access to fresh food through market assistance programs. The Commons remains open to all, with no membership fees, offering a place to meet, learn, create, or spend time.

Attendance continues to grow, with more than 23,000 people participating in Commons events in 2024 and over 120,000 visiting the Farmers Market in 2025. Programming includes dozens of performances, community groups, civic events, and youth activities. Outreach and donor support have expanded significantly, with many new individual donors in 2025.

Looking ahead to 2026, Third Place Commons is seeking continued community support to keep the space open, free, inclusive, and active, emphasizing the importance of shared public spaces at a time when many people feel increasingly isolated.
