Wow! Thanks to local Nathan Hale senior Araya, the Commons now has a Little Free Music Library! Community members are invited to take, borrow, lend, and share their favorite CDs, vinyl, and cassette tapes.

As part of this Eagle Scout project, Araya designed, built and painted this masterpiece with the help of mentors, family and friends. What makes this even cooler is that Araya grew up coming to the Commons! Her parents' PEPS group met in the Commons weekly, and the family attended weekend music events.

And that iconic photo of Octavia Butler, the famous author whose gaze currently looms over the Music Library? Her dad took that photo. Commons Community and Commons Connections - that's what it's all about! Thank you, Araya!

Sunny, with a high of 59 and low of 44 degrees. Sunny for the morning, clear in the afternoon and evening, patchy rain nearby overnight.
Chris - You claim to have tried to reach the Planning Commission vice-Chair and got no response. I have no record of you attempting to contact me. No emails, not even in my Junk folder, no voice mails. Nothing. I am a volunteer. Show some class, correct your statement, or send proof.
Ashton McCartney broke public trust by promising NOT to run to retain the council seat, then waging a write-in campaign to do just that. McCartney does not deserve our trust again.
