Overnight SR 104 lane closures start Thursday night, April 2, for utility work in Lake Forest Park
LAKE FOREST PARK – People who live or commute along State Route 104 in Lake Forest Park should plan for overnight lane closures starting Thursday, April 2, for sewer work supporting the SR 104 Lyon Creek fish passage project.
Closure details
From 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, to 6 a.m. Friday, April 3, contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will reduce SR 104 to one lane near the intersection with 35th Avenue Northeast. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zone.
Single-lane closures will continue from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Monday, April 6, through Friday morning, April 10, in the same location on SR 104. Intermittent overnight full closures of 35th Avenue Northeast also will occur during these same times, with signed detours guiding people around construction.
Sewer work along SR 104, 35th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 185th Street resumed Sunday night, March 29. Crews are installing specialized wells that will remove groundwater to lower the water table enough to install sewers beneath these streets.
