Bees are dying at alarming rates, threatening Washington’s ecosystems. One in four wild bee species, including the Western bumblebee, is at risk. Without bees, 90% of wild plants and key crops like berries, almonds, and coffee could suffer.
Neonicotinoid pesticides (neonics) harm bees’ nervous systems, disrupting foraging and causing colony collapse. To help, Washington should stop using neonic-coated seeds, which are having devastating impacts on pollinators.
