"I work at the central kitchen, Kellogg kitchen, and Highland Terrace crossing guard. I enjoy making food and interacting with some great teams of people. I really appreciate the collaborative and helpful nature of everyone I work with in the district. It's also fun to say hi to kids everyday."

- Kendra Miller, Food Service and Crossing Guard

Highland Terrace Principal Lara Drew shares, "Kendra serves our school community in many meaningful ways across the district. Early each morning, they help prepare meals in the central kitchen that support students throughout Shoreline schools. Midday, Kendra works at Kellogg Middle School helping ensure students are fed and cared for during lunch. In the afternoon, they join us at Highland Terrace as our crosswalk supervisor, where they help students and families leave campus safely each day. Kendra also works closely with our 4th and 5th grade patrol students, guiding them in their leadership roles and modeling responsibility and care. When time allows, Kendra lends a hand with classroom projects and is a tremendous help in the library processing books. In every role, Kendra brings dedication, positivity, and a deep commitment to supporting students and our school community."

We are celebrating All-Staff Appreciation Week in Shoreline Schools. Please join us in thanking them for all that they do for our students!
