"Shoreline School District has been a part of my life in many ways—as an employee in various roles, a PTA and union participant, and a parent of two SSD students. In my current role as a Student Services Specialist, I collaborate with teams supporting students in special education, as well as those navigating housing insecurity and foster care.

Supporting our students, families, and colleagues in meaningful ways is what makes this work so fulfilling."- Danielle Werner, Student Services Specialist and District Homeless Education LiaisonDirector of Elementary Student Services Lauren Weeden shares, "Danielle plays many important roles in Shoreline, from managing purchase requests for special education to supporting our safety net application process and assisting with organizing professional development.

Her greatest impact, however, is in her work supporting students experiencing homelessness and those in foster care. Through close collaboration with family advocates across schools and neighboring district liaisons, Danielle helps ensure that students with the greatest needs can maintain consistency in their education.

She is a fierce advocate for students and a highly valued member of the Student Services department." We are celebrating All-Staff Appreciation Week in Shoreline Schools. Please join us in thanking them for all that they do for our students!
