Heather Groak posted an update on the fundraiser she organized for Swirl owners Ari and Ug's GoFundMe, which has raised over $47,000 thus far.

"I can't thank you enough for your generous support during this challenging time for Ari and Ug. Your kindness truly means a lot to us as they navigate this difficult period and focus on healing. It brings comfort to know that they have such caring friends in their corner."

The popular LFP business Swirl had to temporarily close after its
owners, Ari and Ug, were injured in a crash involving a suspected drunk
driver on the night of the Super Bowl.

According to family members, the couple was struck by the driver late
that evening. Ug suffered minor injuries and a fractured tailbone, but
Ari was seriously hurt in the collision and faces a lengthy recovery
that will require ongoing medical care.

Because of the severity of Ari’s injuries, the couple has had to
temporarily close their family-run business while they focus on healing.
With the shop closed, the family currently has no income and is facing
growing medical bills, rent, and other living expenses.

Friends and supporters say the community’s help will be critical as
Ari recovers and the family works toward reopening the business. They
are encouraging residents to keep the couple in their thoughts and offer
support during the recovery period.
