Replacement School District Levies

Image

This February our community will be voting on two levies for the Shoreline School District. These levies will replace two that expire in 2022.

On Monday, January 10th, the LFP PTA Board voted to endorse both levies. These levies fund programs and positions that are vital to the success of our schools. Without the funds raised from these levies, our school libraries, full-time school nurses, special education programs and technology services would be at risk.

A school levy is a local property tax collected by school districts to help finance the educational programs and operations of schools that are not fully funded by the state. The funds provided by the levies account for roughly 20 percent of Shoreline School District’s annual operating budget. These two levies will help maintain existing programs such as: special education services, librarians, nurses, music, technology access and so much more. For complete details, visit the Replacement Levy Information Page.

The district is hosting informational meetings:
January 13 and January 26
10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. session on each day
Shoreline Room, Shoreline Center, 18560 1st Ave. NE.
