I grew up here in LFP and, although we all know our first responders go the extra mile every shift, I've never seen a police officer shoveling ice on a sidewalk.
This morning, Sergeant "Red" Parrish was observed doing exactly that on the bridge on NE 178th St in the Brookside Elementary school zone. We all know that walking on ice patches can be treacherous.
So we commend the random act of kindness and concern for public safety Sergeant "Red" Parrish demonstrated this morning. It's one more thing that makes living in LFP special!

Moderate rain, with a high of 45 and low of 42 degrees. Light rain in the morning, light drizzle during the afternoon, partly cloudy overnight.
$96K to lose a vote about emergency services. This should have been a slam dunk.
