LFP PD Nabs Suspects In Stolen Car After Multi-Agency Pursuit

[On September 2nd], at approximately 7:25 pm, two Lake Forest Park Police officers responded to a suspicious circumstances call near NE 170th Street and Bothell Way NE, regarding a vehicle stopped in the roadway with two individuals apparently passed out inside.

The officers positioned their patrol vehicles to block the suspects vehicle and attempted to detain the occupants. During the detention both suspects resisted and fought with the officers. The female suspect was taken into custody but the male suspect rammed the patrol vehicles and fled the area driving recklessly.

The vehicle was later determined to be stolen. Officers deployed Stop Sticks and a StarChase tracking device both of which functioned properly The vehicle was eventually disabled in the vicinity of I405 and NE 160th Street in Bothell and the male suspect then fled on foot K9 and drone units were requested to assist in the search Several neighboring law enforcement agencies responded to assist including Bothell Police Department King County Sheriffs Office Washington State Patrol Snohomish County Sheriffs Office Bellevue Police Department and Kirkland Police Department.

After an extensive coordinated effort the suspect was located and apprehended. There is no ongoing threat to the community related to this incident. We would like to thank all of the assisting agencies and personnel who responded and worked together to safely resolve this complex and challenging incident
