"As a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) and elementary English Language Arts specialist, I focus on curriculum and high-leverage practices that support high-quality literacy instruction. My favorite part of my role is partnering with teachers and leaders. I’m continually inspired by their commitment to learning and their belief in the power of literacy for all students."
- Rachel Trudelle, District K-5 ELA Specialist/TOSA
Director of Categorical Programs Ellen Kaje shares, "If you teach reading in Shoreline, you know Rachel. As our K-5 Literacy Teacher on Special Assignment, Rachel is always hard at work supporting teachers and kids and all things reading. She designs and delivers reading professional development for hundreds of teachers, always with a joyful smile. When she isn't distributing books for Fishtank, designing district reading PD, or helping a teacher with UFLI, she can be found refining our summer school reading model.
Rachel brings her extensive literacy expertise along with her positive can-do attitude to everything she does. And she does SO MUCH every day to support kids learning to read in Shoreline!"
We are celebrating All-Staff Appreciation Week in Shoreline Schools. Please join us in thanking them for all that they do for our students!
