Shorecrest Grad Selected As Scholar Athlete of the Year

Congratulations to Mac Franks of @WWUTFXC on being selected as a #WWBlue Male Scholar Athlete of the Year for 2020-21.

Franks carries a GPA near 3.70 while majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering, is part of leadership for Western’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is a three-time GNAC Academic All-Star.

On the track, Franks is a versatile member of the program that has helped lead the Vikings to five consecutive GNAC team titles. At the 2021 outdoor championships, Franks earned three all-conference awards, including a first-place finish in the 800-meter race.
