Registration Opens For Shorelake Soccer

Hello Shorelake Families,

We’re playing soccer! Things are starting to get a bit more back to normal and we hope that you and your family are healthy.

We are excited to open registration for the 2021 season!

We are working closely with SYSA (our parent organization) to ensure things will be as smooth as possible. We understand that there may still be some uncertainty and we will do our best to communicate as early and clearly as possible.

We also recognize that COVID-19 is causing both a health crisis and an economic crisis. We will be following the guidance of our government officials and parent organizations as we navigate both.

We encourage those who need assistance with registration fees to contact us regarding scholarship and payment options. For those that can assist, we would appreciate any additional donations you might be able to make to our scholarship fund.

Registration Schedule

Our registration schedule for Fall 2021 is as follows:

May 5, 2021 - Registration open for players as well as coaches and other volunteers.
June 6, 2021 - Last day for early registration discount
June 30, 2021 - Registration closes

Late Registration: Players requesting to return to their previous team or requesting to play with specified friends must be registered prior to June 30, 2021. Late registration is available until August 31, 2021 but placement of late registering players is subject to the availability of roster spots. Those who register during the Late Registration period should be prepared for the possibility of not playing in the coming season.

2021 Registration Fees

Fees for the Fall 2021 season are as follows:

Shorelake League (ages U9 and under)

SYSA League (U10 and up)

$105 (early registration) / $135 (full fee)

$135 (early registration) / $165 (full fee)

An early registration discount of $30 applies for any registrations received on or before June 6, 2021.

Scholarships and Scholarship Donations

Our policy is that all young people should have an opportunity to play soccer and that is as important now as it ever has been. For those in financial need, please see the fee information page on our website.

We are anticipating an increase in scholarship requests this season and are asking for our families to consider donating to our scholarship fund during the registration process. Thank you in advance for anything you can give.

Refunds

While we are hopeful that we will be able to provide a typical fall soccer season, we understand that the situation may not allow for that. If the season is fully canceled, we will issue a full refund to anyone who has registered.

It is also possible that we might be able to provide some version of a fall season that is not the same as our usual offering. If we are forced to make changes to our usual fall programs, we expect that some families may no longer interested in participating. Additionally, we understand that situations for many people are uncertain at the moment. With that in mind, and per our usual refund policy, we will issue a full refund to anyone who requests one prior to the start of the season.

A more challenging situation we may encounter is one where a season is able to start but is cut short or otherwise altered mid-season. In that case, we will do our best to offer refunds, but the availability and details will depend on the situation. It is possible that we will not be able to offer refunds once the season has started.
