According to manager JR, the long-awaited Suni's Express hopes to open the first week of September with a limited menu that includes hot specialty subs, salads, wings, signature pizzas, and desserts. The restaurant is located at 1504 NE 179th St., Shoreline, WA 98155. Sadly, without a very expensive commercial range hood, getting their excellent hand-cut fries will have to wait until they rebuild at their original site.
The old location across the street opened in 1979 and suffered a suspected arson fire in January 2023, a total loss despite the fire department's being a few hundred feet away. According to JR, the plan is to eventually rebuild at the original site across the street, which would include tearing down the old structure and building a new one.
