PORT ORCHARD, WA — Washington State Patrol says their troopers helped save a bald eagle that had been hit by a car in Port Orchard Monday.

The bird had been struck by a car on State Route 16, but was quickly recovered by troopers — who were also assisted by a passing biologist, who helped them carefully rescue the eagle and get it to safety.
