I find myself drawn to the "Edmonds International District" several times a week because there are a lot of outstanding and diverse ethnic restaurants, cafes, and dessert bars along Highway 99 in Edmonds from 238th St SW to about 224th St SW where an ever-popular, groundbreaking International District is flourishing.
Just like International Districts in other areas, the American Dream is happening. Owner Sam Ko gained 30 years of restaurant experience in Hong Kong before immigrating to the U.S. and opening Harvest Noodle.
Even though I only recently discovered Harvest Wonton Noodle, they're coming up on their one-year anniversary, so I asked a few questions and the owner's daughter, Aurysia Ko had this to say:
- What would you say your three most popular dishes have been so far?
- Here are some customer favorites - Chow Fun with Beef, Spicy Dumplings, Wonton Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, Curry Beef Brisket Rice, Seafood Dan Dan Noodle.
- Beef Chow Fun can be found all over Hong Kong, including street venders, cafes, and restaurants
- Why did you choose Hong Kong-style food for your restaurant?
- We chose Hong Kong-style food because my family is from Hong Kong and my father has been in the restaurant industry for 30 years experience in Hong Kong and immigrated here to continue his dream as a chef to customers building a Hong Kong community.
- How do you differ from nearby Hong Kong Noodle House?
- Our food is different from others because we want our customers to feel at home with an exchange of a plate dish making a difference to their day. Building meaningful connections and community around our Edmonds and PNW area telling our family story Hong Kong authentic food.
