LFP Picnic In The Park Has Light Attendance Due To Smoke & Heat

Some braved the heat and smoke for this year's Picnic In The Park event, including City Councilman Tracy Furutani, who staffed the LFP Climate Action Committee booth.

Where a survey was being conducted:

The Shoreline/LFP Senior Center booth was attended by Theresa LaCroix, Director, and Ellen Sullivan, Board Member. Visit their website for more information on all the upcoming classes and the many helpful programs they offer, including group travel opportunities.

NEMCO attended as well. The Northshore Emergency Management Coalition is a partnership among the cities of Kenmore and Lake Forest Park (LFP), the Northshore Fire Department (NSFD) and the Northshore Utility District (NUD). NEMCo was created to provide the communities it serves with efficient emergency management resources.

Lake Forest Park Water District had free water. They're still working on the proposed trail through the wellhead area.

The LFP Stewardship Foundation shared some interesting information, including a Remote Stream Egg Incubabator display.
