Seattle Metro Pickleball Association (SMPA) Board of Directors approved a net fund to purchase two semipermanent pickleball nets for Horizon View Park. This effort is being driven by Amy Hanegan and the Lake Forest Park Pickleballers.
The City of Lake Forest Park has agreed to repair cracks and re-paint the existing tennis court to accommodate two pickleball courts where only one currently exists.
The LFP players represent a dedicated, local playgroup and expect to raise approximately $5,000 to purchase up to two new Douglas semipermanent nets to donate to the city of Lake Forest Park for use at the Horizon View Park Courts.

If you are making your donation by check, make payable to Seattle Metro Pickleball Association, noted as "LFP net fund." Mail to SMPA, 6523 California Avenue SW, Ste 151, Seattle WA 98136.
The MemberPlanet donation site will stop accepting donations when the $5,000 goal is reached. Any amount raised beyond the cost of the nets will become part of the SMPA General Fund. This net fund allows personal funds, corporate matching funds, or donor-advised funds be given as tax-deductible donations to the 501(c)3 nonprofit Seattle Metro Pickleball Association.
