Just in time for Halloween, Richmond Beach Young Adult Librarian Aarene Storms brings together the annual Scary Stories For Brave Listeners program, Saturday, Oct. 30, at 5:00 p.m. Immediately following, as the twilight gloom descends, the RBCA's first Haunted Richmond Beach Walk commences in the Community (Library) Park. The spine-tingling joint program is for tweens and up. This is not for small children. Master storyteller Storms will tell tales to make your blood run cold. Attendees will be invited to share their own stories of dark mystery and sudden surprises under outdoor tents next to the Richmond Beach Library.

At 6:00 p.m., the Haunted Richmond Beach Walk begins. Visitors to the park will encounter the hallowed ghosts of the neighborhood's past: the heroes, the villains, the acclaimed and the forgotten, conjured from the mists by reenactors. Expect to be alternately delighted, shocked, impressed and aghast! The programs are outside, and attendees should dress for the weather. Costumes are welcome. COVID protocols will be observed, and the program is subject to change depending on health department guidelines.
