NEMCo is pleased to announce that it will be sponsoring a Community Emergency Preparedness Workshop on Saturday, June 22, 2024!

 It will be held at Kenmore Fire Station 51, from 9:00am to noon, and open to the first 50 who register. This free workshop is designed to equip you with the skills needed to assist others until first responders arrive. The program, ACT (Antidote, CPR, Tourniquet) to Save a Life, imparts life-saving skills.

June 22, 2024, Community Preparedness Workshop

Time: 9:00am to noon.

A presentation will be given on the hazards we face in our community and our homes, along with simple yet effective steps that citizens can take to prepare for an emergency or disaster. Each participant will receive a Resource Guide and checklist, providing detailed guidance to assist them in preparing for and handling emergencies in their community. Following the classroom portion, participants will engage in a hands-on exercise, extinguishing a fire using a fire extinguisher.
