Alan Kerley, General Manager for LFP Water District:
The contractor for the Ballinger Way NE Roundabout project is scheduled to connect the new water main on Tuesday October 20 and Wednesday the 21st, 2026.
Once the connections are complete, the District will be able to return to normal water system operation, ending the temporary changes in water flow that have been necessary during construction.
As normal water flow is restored, some customers may temporarily experience discolored water due to resuspending naturally occuring sediments. District crews will be flushing water mains as needed following the connections to clear up any color.
If you experience discolored water, run cold water from a bathtub, outside faucet, or other high-flow fixture for 5–10 minutes. If the discoloration persists, contact the District at 206-365-3211 or office@lfpwd.org.
We appreciate your patience during this phase of the project.
This is really well done and should be read by everyone who will vote on the property tax levy lid increase in our upcoming election. I hope every LFP council member has already read it and understands it.
I'm impressed with the analysis but I didn't see any attribution so am curious to know whether this was written by a human or generated by AI.
Both.
