On Saturday, at around 1 PM, LFP officers assisted by King County deputies tried to locate a person suspected of theft who fled from Ross and led officers to the area of the 17200 block of 44th Ave NE. Officers set up a perimeter and deployed a drone to try to locate the suspect, described as a "white male with dreadlocks wearing an orange vest," according to an LFP officer at the scene. According to LFP PD Commander Zanella, one of the officers accidentally hit a bicycle rack during the pursuit and sustained a small injury to his arm.

At one point, a resident who lives on 44th Ave NE told 911 dispatch that they thought the suspect might be in their shed. The area is densely treed, with Lyon Creek running through many of the properties, a possible escape route. The suspect was not located.
