Washington Emergency Operations Center Activates For Chemical Spill In Longview

As of 1:30 PM, the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) has elevated to Level 2 - Partial Activation in response to the Nippon Chemical  Incident (26-1983) in Longview, WA. Currently, Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) including ESF 3 – Public Works, ESF 5 – Emergency Management, ESF 6 – Mass Care, Housing, and Human Services, ESF 8 –
Public Health, Medical, and Mortuary Services, ESF 10 – Oil and Hazardous Materials, ESF 12 – Energy, ESF 15 – External Affairs, as well as National Guard Domestic Operations, are activated in support. The SEOC’s Command and General Staff functions are also engaged.
