Downed tree still blocking NE 178th (Goat Trail)On Saturday evening, high winds caused multiple power outages and downed power lines, which overloaded first responders. For a brief time, Officer Coleman and I were the only ones at a downed power line at about the 5200 Block of NE 178th (Goat Trail). The author's dash cam video below shows that the power line fire intensified with Officer Cole's patrol vehicle dangerously close to an intense but brief electrical fire. With ozone still permeating the air, Officer Coleman moves his patrol car a safer distance away as another LFP officer arrives. Fire was not able to respond by the time I left the scene. I personally heard approximately 100 calls for downed trees, electrical fires, people trapped in houses, and elevators in the NORCOM service area throughout the evening.

Chris - You claim to have tried to reach the Planning Commission vice-Chair and got no response. I have no record of you attempting to contact me. No emails, not even in my Junk folder, no voice mails. Nothing. I am a volunteer. Show some class, correct your statement, or send proof.
Ashton McCartney broke public trust by promising NOT to run to retain the council seat, then waging a write-in campaign to do just that. McCartney does not deserve our trust again.
